This is a note we shared with the volunteer team the day before Thanksgiving 2020:
"Last Friday, our intrepid delivery team did double duty providing a tday delivery with the regular one. If that wasn't complicated enough, we had lots of unexpected food donations, breaking our flow. But it all got done, food went out and food came in. The day ended with a HS student and her Mom dropping off boxes of donations. The last piece was a tub full of canned goods so heavy the two of them barely got up the two steps into the back door. After they dragged it inside the look of satisfaction/accomplishment/joy on her face was something to remember.
With all we deal with every day, we still live in a world full of hope."
