At Freehold Area Open Door, we offer a variety of programs throughout the year for our food pantry clients. These include our Birthday Bag Program, Thanksgiving Dinner, and Christmas Gift Program. We are dedicated to supporting our community and ensuring that everyone has access to essential resources and joyful experiences. Join us in making a difference!
Birthday Bag Program
Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.
Our Birthday Gift Program provides a special birthday gift to children ages 6–16 whose families are registered Freehold Area Open Door clients and reside within our service area, including Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Allentown, Clarksburg, Colts Neck, Cream Ridge, Marlboro, Morganville, Millstone, Roosevelt, and Upper Freehold.
To participate:

A birth certificate must be on file for each eligible child.

Registered families can inquire when picking up their monthly food package.
Help Make Birthdays Special
Would you like to help brighten a child's birthday?
We gratefully accept donations of new toys, gift items, gift bags, cake mix, icing, candles, and other birthday-themed items to help us celebrate the children in our community.

Thanksgiving Dinner
Each November, Freehold Area Open Door provides items for a Thanksgiving dinner, including turkey.

In November 2025 we provided meals for hundreds of families.

Christmas Gift Program
To help brighten the Holiday season, each year we provide gifts to children of families registered with our Advocacy program.
